Hello Reader, Happy new month, and welcome to the second half of 2026. And to all my Canada superstars, I hope you had a lovely Canada Day, yesterday :) A Personal Note From MeIn Scrum and other Agile project environments, teams conduct retrospectives at the end of a sprint or work cycle. A retrospective is not a performance review or a blame session. It is a deliberate pause to reflect on how the work went, not just the results achieved, but the people, processes, tools, decisions, and habits that shaped those results. The goal is simple: identify what worked well, acknowledge what did not work, learn from it, and make intentional changes that improve the next cycle. When a retrospective is done well, it usually involves:
We are now in the second half of the year, and it is time for a retrospective. Are you ready? Let’s go. Here is how it works; Ogaga Johnson’s version, of course. 😊 1) Take a moment to look back at the first half of the year Honestly evaluate it based on the results you planned to achieve. Was it good? Okay? Bad? No judgement. Just honesty. 2) Then, look ahead and imagine it is December 31, 2026. Where would you like to be in your career, business, finances, relationships, health, or personal growth? Write a short note to yourself from that future version of you. Capture it as a photo or screenshot, then schedule an email to yourself for December 31 with that image attached. When that email arrives, what do you want your reality to look like? 3) Now work backwards. What steps would you need to take between now and then to make that note your reality? That is your assignment for this week. Reply back to me with your goal and steps, I read and respond to every email. My prayer for you is that the second half of 2026 will be far better than the first half, and that when you receive that email on December 31, you will rejoice because the things you wrote will be your reality. In Jesus Name, Amen. Verisult Insider: Get Hired Is BackIf you have been applying for jobs for months, sending countless resumes, and wondering why nothing is working, this is for you. Hi Reader, You know how children cover their eyes and assume that because they can’t see you, you too cannot see them? We adults do something similar. Like when you’re not sure about something and you ignore it instead of making a decision. You see a job opening, and you kinda like the job, but you’re not in the mental space to apply, so you just leave the tab open and do other things until the deadline expires. You see a friend’s LinkedIn post and look away. You didn’t decide not to like or...
Hi Reader, I have exciting news! Get Hired Bootcamp is BACK — and it starts April 11th.
